I'll leave the suspense alittle longer. This looks like it may be an older Staybridge. The reception area looked smaller than others (no Bob's chair). But they did have a prize wheel for IHG members to spin to receive additional points. Elevator area was tucked away. Jennifer is an absolute delight at check in. Even let me check in early (without additional charge) so I could get to the Syracuse lacrosse game on time. Breakfast was plentiful. Room clean (some of the furniture was a little scuffed but it that can't be helped. So why the 4 rating? 1) cut my ankle on the unforgiving wood baseboards. 2) everytime you moved on the bed it was loud (possibly the cover sheet material). 3) parking lot was not the best lit lot I've encountered (but multiple charging stations). And 4) dirty dishes in the dishwater.

Firstly, I cannot offer this review without first highlighting the incredibly kind, accommodating, and welcoming staff. I called ahead to see if we could check in early, to which the front desk worker was very kind about, the housekeeping ladies were very professional and sweet when I asked for additional sheets, and the servers for the breakfast were very welcoming. With all of that noted, I also have to say that I don’t often stay at any hotel that can be made for extended stays (usually just a short term booking); therefore, this could be normal and I’m just not familiar. Ok…. All of those things said, i am only writing this review because it would’ve been helpful if I had read this before booking. I’m not fully understanding some of the other reviews, so this is for the parent who is looking for a good family booking. So, here are some weighted tips for management: I was so unsettled and disgusted with a lot of the room we stayed in. We have a son with disabilities, and he often engages in uncommon behavior such as mouthing objects, laying on floors, etc. I was genuinely concerned he was going to get some sort of pink eye after staying in this room. I’m not sure where to even start… so I’ll begin with the fact that there were clothes left in our closet that were not ours. Things happen, usually not a big deal, but that indicated that the closet was not wiped down/cleaned, let alone even opened before we arrived. Secondly, there is food or drink stuck on every-single-night stand. I brought some wipes with me and tried to wipe down a nightstand, and after I finished wiping the front of ONE nightstand, the wipe was almost black. I gagged and threw it out immediately. I wish that I took a picture of it to show how disgustingly dirty it was. This was the case for every headboard (we stayed in a 2 bedroom), end table, desk, and dresser. The outlets did not work in the living room area and the lamp didn’t also work. We had to move furniture around to make it work. The bar stools were also covered in food, food that was wipeable. I also regret not taking more photos of this. The bathroom was impeccable. Shower/toilet/floor was well cleaned. The walls were all clearly marked up and the furniture, damaged. But again, I don’t stay in hotels that allow extended stays often, so perhaps that’s commonplace. Lastly, this is more of a preference: there are no smart TVs. It’s been a while since I’ve stayed in a hotel without a smart tv. So again, with my son who has rigidity, this was a problem. We had to go out and purchase an HDMI cord to connect it to the tv. Not a huge deal, but if you have kids, something to consider. The kitchen is set up well if it’s needed. All in all, if you need a large suite, and you are traveling with children this is one THOUSAND percent not your place to go. If you are unable to afford anything more than $200 a night for a large suite, this certainly does the trick. The staff is friendly and the complimentary breakfast is solid. Just make sure you bring your own Lysol wipes and do a pre-clean before your stay. The picture attached is the only picture I took, unfortunately. It is of the clothes left in the closet.

I love staying at Staybridge Suites in Liverpool because it is so convenient for us when we go on a trip leaving out of Syracuse. It’s an easy-on, easy-off the Thruway, and very close to the AAA Administrative Offices where we park our car for those trips. I just stayed at the hotel both before and after a trip and when Esther saw us, she remembered us from our last visit. When I recently called to inquire about making arrangements for another tour company’s motorcoach to pick us up at the hotel, Esther was unbelievably helpful, accommodating and friendly. I have never stayed at a hotel where the front desk staff was as friendly and accommodating as they all have been at this hotel. In addition, the rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet, the breakfast is more than adequate and the evening socials are a welcome treat.

I recently stayed at this hotel twice (before and after a motor-coach trip). Each time the staff was very personable, the room was clean and quiet and the breakfast was adequate. To my surprise, hot cocoa and cookies were offered on the first night as a sporadic special offering. On the last night, the gentleman at the front desk (Brian) went out of his way to help me out and I will be forever grateful for his kindness. The lady overseeing breakfast was very attentive and pleasant as well. I look forward to staying at this hotel again in the future.

Second time here, once on the way back from Florida and now on the way back. It’s not a beautiful contemporary hotel in a quaint location. Not by a long shot but: - large rooms in a condo style (small complete kitchen, sofa area, comfy bedroom corner and separate bath) - a little outdated but clean and very well kept - lotsa weekly guests so it’s homey - 1st time surprise: walk in and are told that diner is served until 19:00! What? Yes they have a diner and breakfast included in the price on most nights. Nothing fancy but better than searching for a fast food take out - staff is friendly and helpful (Brian thank you), it’s quiet and not fussy. So this is it: don’t expect much and you will be pleasantly surprised. By the way, the rates are good, the parking ample, etc And just a couple of miles off I 81.
